Stephen Anderson was born today in 1969 in the United States and became a storyboard artist and director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he worked across development teams shaping major animated features, and is known for his collaborative approach to animation storytelling. At Disney he contributed story work on “Tarzan” and “The Emperor's New Groove”, helping refine comedic timing, character beats, and early narrative structure during production development in the studio's story department. Co-directing “Meet the Robinsons” in 2007, he also voiced Bowler Hat Guy (Michael "Goob" Yagoobian) and worked closely on character-driven humor and story revisions throughout production at Disney Animation. He later directed “Winnie the Pooh” (2011), returning to hand-drawn storytelling, and continued developing story work at Disney. Have a great weekend, everyone! Please check out my weekly newsletter!
