Imagine international shipping that is fast, paperless, and completely stress-free—where smart security doesn’t mean drowning in paperwork. That is the exact goal driving the Facilitation Committee and the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN). To make this a reality, stakeholders recently made a major strategic move by merging their individual plans into a single, unified blueprint. By breaking down old silos, this new approach is designed to eliminate overlapping rules, boost day-to-day efficiency, and significantly lower costs across the sector, ensuring total coordination and transparency. The Deputy Director in charge of Maritime Sector Development and Innovation at the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), Lydia Tsotsoo Odai-Tettey indicated that the committees are currently developing a three-year strategic plan for 2026–2028, alongside a detailed action plan for the remainder of 2026. These deliverables are to serve as a clear roadmap, translating big discussions into tangible, time-bound actions. Through productive breakout sessions, the stakeholders also laid a strong foundation to finalize a consolidated work plan, strengthening maritime operations and advancing shared goals for the industry. #GMA #GlobalTrade #Shipping #Innovation #Transparency #TradeEfficiency
