The associations representing domestic raw material industries often agree on quite a few things. ⚒️ On Saturday evening, the alignment was particularly easy. I met Philipp Schollmeyer, Managing Director of Vereinigung Rohstoffe und Bergbau e.V. (VRB), to watch Germany play Ivory Coast in the World Cup. ⚽ Normally, when VKS – Association of the Potash and Salt Industry and VRB look at policy topics, we talk about faster approval procedures, less unnecessary bureaucracy and better conditions for domestic raw materials. Important topics, but not exactly ideal Saturday evening material. This time, no position paper was needed. We both agreed that Germany had to win. That was the end of the discussion. They made us wait until extra time, which was not exactly relaxing. But in the end, they got there. Good company, good result, and hopefully a good sign for the rest of the tournament. #WorldCup #Germany #RawMaterials
