Yesterday I brought my suitcase to the office. The plan was work, airport, mine visit the next morning - not 220 push-ups with suddenly fewer excuses. By 9 am the business trip was cancelled, but unfortunately The Push-Up Challenge was not. These things happen. The person the whole visit was organised for got sick, and there is not much you can do about that. Still disappointing. Underground mine visits are not exactly something you organise in five minutes. Agendas need to align, travel needs to work, site access needs to be arranged, and quite a few people are involved to make it happen. Big thanks to Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG for organising everything. I hope we can find another date before too long. On the upside, the cancellation does make today’s push-up logistics easier. 𝟐𝟐𝟎 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡-𝐮𝐩𝐬 are enough without trying to squeeze them into airport timing, hotel check-in and going hundreds of meters underground. Although I admit, doing push-ups underground would probably have created some interesting looks. So I’ll do them in Berlin instead. The push-ups are the silly part. The reason behind them is not. I’m doing The The Push-Up Challenge to help raise awareness for mental health. Too many people still do not get the support they need, when they need it. I’ll put the donation link in the comments. A few dollars or euros help. No need to be Australian. No need to do 220 push-ups. That last part is my problem today. #PushUpChallenge #MentalHealth #Mining
