GFG International is seeking a highly experienced, technically strong, and business-oriented professional for the position of Sr. Merchandiser – Woven & Denim. The ideal candidate must possess strong product knowledge, deep technical understanding of woven and denim garments and the ability to independently manage buyer communication and order execution. Key Responsibilities: Handle complete merchandising operations for woven and denim products from development to shipment. Manage wash development, comments, approvals, and technical coordination with factories and buyers. Ensure accurate understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, fitting, and wash techniques. Coordinate closely with buyers, washing plants, production teams, and suppliers. Follow up on sampling, costing, production status, quality, and shipment schedules. Maintain T&A plans and ensure on-time execution of orders. Analyze product risks and provide technical solutions during development and production stages. Support business growth through strong product development and customer management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising from a reputed institution. Minimum 6–10 years of experience in merchandising for woven and denim products, preferably in a reputed buying house or export-oriented garments industry. Strong technical knowledge of denim wash, garment finishing, fabric behavior, and garment construction. Sound understanding of product development, costing, sourcing, and production processes. Ability to independently handle buyers and manage multiple orders under pressure. Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and merchandising-related reporting. Preferred Qualities: Strong commercial and technical mindset. Deep understanding of denim trends, washes, and product aesthetics. Smart, proactive, and result-oriented personality. Leadership capability and team coordination experience.
