What does astronomy outreach look like working in a national park? 🔭⭐ For Sophia Marrone ’25, she spent her summer creating and leading public stargazing and astronomy programs at Valles Caldera National Preserve in New Mexico. At Gettysburg, her experience with the Cross-Disciplinary Science Institute at Gettysburg, the Gettysburg College Observatory, and the Hatter Planetarium enabled Marrone to apply her knowledge and communication skills to help members of the public appreciate the wonders of the night sky. “I loved seeing the same passion I had for the night sky reflected in others,” she said. 🔗 Read more about Marrone's passion for astronomy: https://bit.ly/4rMnqJX
