Anyone else forget about fall seeding this year? Good news: Martha Stewart just featured Sunday's very own leading turf experts, Maggie Reiter and Frank S. Rossi, Ph.D, on dormant seeding. If you're not familiar with it, you're not alone. Dormant seeding, or frost seeding, is basically throwing grass seed down in late fall or early winter and letting winter do the work for you. Our favorite part? "There's no need for watering," says Maggie. "All you need to do is scatter the seed and make sure it touches the soil." No irrigation, and no extra work for you.
