While 74% of employees felt supported during pregnancy, only 33% felt supported when returning to work. This 41% drop represents a critical risk for talent attrition. Let that sink in… The 2am feeding sessions. The postnatal anxiety nobody warned them about. The dread of walking back into the office wondering if they still belong there. These aren't small things. They shape whether someone stays in their career, stays with their employer, or quietly decides it's all too much. We surveyed hundreds of working parents and the same things kept coming up. Not enough access to real experts. Mental health needs going unmet until they became a crisis. A return-to-work experience that felt like being dropped in at the deep end with no one watching. Employers can change this. The right support, at the right time, keeps good people in their careers and in their teams.
