Manup is seeking a Senior Drilling & Well Engineer to support an offshore well programme in the Ivory Coast for a West African National Oil Company. This is a high-visibility, independent consultant engagement on a shallow-water jack-up drilling campaign — requiring a practitioner who combines deep well engineering capability with strong hands-on operational experience. Applicant will serve as the lead technical resource on a structured well delivery engagement covering independent technical assurance across the pre-execution phase and senior oversight during drilling execution. Applicant will work embedded within the Operator's team, providing expert challenge and validation of third-party deliverables, facilitating key technical workshops, and ensuring the programme is set up for safe, on-schedule, within-AFE delivery. This is a Phase 1 onset role with continuity through execution — Applicant will be the technical thread that connects well-designed assurance to rig-side performance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 📍Minimum 15 years of oil and gas industry experience in well engineering and/or drilling operations 📍Demonstrable track record in both well engineering (design, programming, AFE) and drilling operations (execution, oversight, operational supervision) 📍Offshore West Africa experience — specifically shallow-water jack-up operations — is strongly preferred 📍Experience on jack-up drilling campaigns in the Gulf of Guinea, West African shelf, or comparable shallow-water environments 📍Proven capability in independent well design review, peer review facilitation, and DWOP/CWOP methodology 📍Strong understanding of AFE construction, cost control, and variance management 📍Previous experience embedded in or seconded to an Operator (NOC or IOC) drilling team is a significant advantage 📍Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent professional qualification 📍Ivorian national or West African professional — strongly preferred Interested persons can apply via this link: https://lnkd.in/enmwjmnW #hiring #oiljobs #oilandgas
