In an opinion article I wrote for Het Financieele Dagblad with Ellen Mangnus I argue that Europe should not be seen as ‘gekke Henkie’ (in Dutch, what is the english equivalent: mad Bob?) when launching sustainability policies as China, Brazil and many others are also actively working on sustainability measures. But also that Europeans should stop (somewhat arrogant) thinking that others will automatically copy their standards. Raising global standards requires partnerships and collaboration.
