“In day-to-day care work, support like this is truly worth its weight in gold.” That’s how a caregiver in a German care facility described the support provided by the #EXIA #exoskeleton in a recent German Public Television segment by national broadcaster ARD on AI-supported care work. The feature highlights how technologies like intelligent #exoskeletons can help reduce physical strain in healthcare by supporting caregivers during patient mobilization, repetitive lifting and carrying, and other physically demanding daily tasks. For us at German Bionic, this is what applied #PhysicalAI looks like in practice: technology designed not to replace caregivers, but to support the people doing some of society’s most essential work. As demographic change, workforce shortages, and rising workloads continue to challenge healthcare systems across Europe, solutions that improve ergonomics and help make physically demanding professions more sustainable will become increasingly important. We are excited to see this conversation reaching mainstream public audiences and grateful to the caregivers sharing their real-world experiences.
