Looking back at our Carbon Management Working Group meeting in Berlin 👇 Yesterday, our German-Norwegian Working Group on Carbon Management met in Berlin for a focused exchange on advancing carbon capture and storage (#CCS) in Europe. The programme combined institutional dialogue and industry perspectives, reflecting the importance of cross-border cooperation along the full CCS value chain. Two highlights from the day: ⭐ Exchange at the German Bundestag: The group met with Nicklas Kappe, Member of the Deutscher Bundestag, to discuss how to support the ramp-up of CCS in Europe. The conversation built on the strong foundation of German‑Norwegian #cooperation and explored how collaboration can contribute to enabling frameworks and scalable solutions. ⭐ Roundtable at the Nordic Embassies’ Joint House An engaging roundtable brought together stakeholders from across the ecosystem to discuss how to streamline the full value chain for CCS – from capture to transport and storage. Valuable input was provided by Jonas Skei (Royal Norwegian Embassy in Berlin), Norman Wendt (Carbon Management Allianz), and Mathias Koch (Agora Energiewende), among others. The programme also included perspectives on bilateral cooperation, cross-sector insights, and interactive discussions on building sustainable business cases and scaling carbon management initiatives in Europe. We thank all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions and for strengthening the dialogue between Germany and Norway in this key field.
