First Toner Manufactured Locally in East Africa! Big moment for our Nairobi team: the first ECOPLAN toner manufactured locally in East Africa. Ten years ago, we started in Nairobi with one simple goal: remove friction for customers. Back then, that meant distribution getting essentials into client hands faster, without the waiting game. Now it means something even bigger: local manufacturing. Because when you can produce locally, you don’t just move faster. You plan better, stock better, and avoid the last‑minute surprises procurement and admin teams deal with. Most importantly, teams that rely on printing every day get continuity they can count on. And it brings us closer to our sustainability goals in Kenya. By producing locally, we reduce unnecessary transport and strengthen a more responsible, resilient supply chain. This year, together with Youth for Green Action Kenya, we’re supporting the planting of another 200,000 trees. That keeps us on track to reach 905,000 trees planted by the end of 2026. Local production also means local impact through skills development and job creation in Kenya. Proud of this milestone and even more excited for what’s next as we grow manufacturing capacity across the continent.
