Skills Experts Annual Meeting 2026. 💡💬 A dynamic platform for international exchange, knowledge sharing, and mutual learning on vocational education and training (VET) developments! Throughout the third week of May 2026, the Skills Expert Program (SEP) team represented AHK Egypt at the Skills Expert Annual Meeting, organized by the DIHK Service GmbH Competence Center International Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Berlin and Hamburg, Germany. 🔹 Together with representatives from different AHK locations, including Argentina, Colombia, Japan, Lithuania, The Philippines, South Africa, and Uzbekistan, we started by sharing project updates and exchanging experiences, discussing common challenges, and exploring practical solutions together. 🔹 Building on these insights, the SEP team participated in hands-on training on pitching and storytelling, where they strengthened their ability to communicate impact, engage stakeholders, and develop new partnerships. 🔹 These acquired skills were immediately put into practice during the international conference “Vocational Education and Training as a Driver of Foreign Trade – Opportunities in Germany and Abroad,” which brought together around 120 representatives from business, politics, and vocational education. The SEP team presented the project with its milestones and achievements. 🔹 The conference was complemented by delegation visits to Aurubis AG, Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) Anstalt öffentlichen Rechts , Hamburger Ausbildungszentrum (HAZ) e.V., and Handelskammer Hamburg , offering exposure to Germany’s dual vocational training system through visits to companies and institutions in the metal, logistics, and vocational education sectors. 🔹💬 The journey continued with an information session at IHK Frankfurt am Main, focused on strengthening professional support and integration pathways for SEP candidates to enhance their integration, career development, and participation in the program. 🌍📝 Overall, the experience reaffirmed a key lesson: knowledge exchange and cross-border cooperation remain essential drivers of skills development and labor mobility.
