Effective immediately, all references to the words "hell" and "helluva" will be removed from official Georgia Tech usages, including the fight song, the flags on the Ramblin' Wreck, and written text on Rat Caps. "Doozy" will replace "helluva" and "tarnation" will replace "hell." #TTWg 🐝 -- https://lnkd.in/emipxpUN The decision to remove the words was made by the Fellowship of Offensive Language Suppression (FoOLS) — part of a newly formed task force that specializes in inappropriate uses of slang, vernacular, and parlance. "Our community is really going to like this," said Remy Uval, an administrator for FoOLS. "People love it when long-held traditions are changed, and I think Georgia Tech fans will appreciate the work we've done. We finally have a fight song with appropriate language!"
