Last week I attended the Bioprocess Entrepreneurial Skills Training (BEST) programme with BioProNet2. I got the chance to visit the local bioprocessing industry (GSK, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, and CPI), attend cutting edge masterclass lectures and present a group RNA vaccine pitch to industrial professionals (and I am still absolutely shattered). It was great to meet PhD students working within the area and other early career industrial professionals - a friendly, supportive and talented bunch! A huge thanks to the industrial partners as well as Jo Flannelly and Alan Dickson for organising an incredible event. I would definitely recommend this programme for early careers or PhD students with an interest in industry - prepare to work incredibly hard!
