As we count down to #WorldDrowningPreventionDay (25 July), we're #UnitingToTurnTheTide. We are reminded that preventing drowning requires more than evidence - it requires strong global partnerships, shared learning, and capacity building.     📽️ Our colleague, Dr Medhavi Gupta, shares some of the ways we are working together:    RNLI's global webinar on implementing the Global Strategy for Drowning Prevention, featuring governments, WHO, the Global Alliance for Drowning Prevention, FAO, academia, and civil society partners. Dr Medhavi Gupta participated in RNLI's workshop in Vietnam on delivering survival swimming programmes in LMICs. Sharmila is part of the Global Drowning Prevention Leadership Institute (GDPLI), supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, strengthening leadership and technical capacity while building a global network of drowning prevention champions. The India-Australia Drowning Prevention Technical Exchange in Sydney brought together 40+ experts to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and develop practical solutions, with the next exchange taking place in Kerala this October.    Together, these partnerships are helping turn evidence into action and bringing us closer to a world with fewer drowning deaths.    Find out more about our work: https://bit.ly/4f1NcGl   #DrowningPrevention #WDPD2026 #WDPD26 #UniteToTurnTheTide John Hopkins University, Royal Life Saving – Australia, RNLI, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Bournemouth University, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
