The US has closed source AI models with rules and terms and stuff. The Chinese have open source AI models you can just do things with. The world will use the Chinese models (which encode Chinese values). Most people won't alter them and use them as is. The US was unquestionably the top soft power exporting country. Now this is flipping. AI models stand to be the top soft power export in history.
