I'm excited to share a milestone that I wasn't expecting at the start of this year. Earlier this year, I took the opportunity to work as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) for a first-year module, teaching Electronics Engineering. I initially saw it as a chance to develop my teaching skills, support students through their practical work, and give back to a subject area I enjoy. What I didn't anticipate was where the experience would lead. Through my involvement in the module, I had the opportunity to contribute to research into practical engineering education, and I'm delighted to share that this work has now been published as a co-authored paper in an international conference, SEFI 2026 -> my first publication! It's incredibly rewarding to see how a decision to step outside my usual studying and activities and get involved in teaching has led to a published contribution to the engineering education community. A huge thank you to my colleagues for the opportunity, support, and guidance throughout the process and I'm proud to have contributed to work that aims to improve how future engineers learn and develop practical skills. Looking forward to seeing where the next opportunity leads!
