We’re proud to launch artX Regional 2026, now on display at Rachinger Gallery in the Eastern Hub Community Centre. Now in its 18th year, artX continues to celebrate the creativity, talent and perspectives of artists with disability and lived experience of mental health challenges. This year’s exhibition features more than 130 artworks from across Geelong, the Barwon region and South-West Victoria. genU CEO Dr Chelsea Tobin, CF, GAICD officially opens the exhibition alongside artists, families and the wider community, recognising the strength, creativity and inclusion that artX represents. 2026 award winners include: • First place: Mason Lawrence - Sunsets • Second place: Nate Laffy - 3D Me • Highly commended: Aliera Murphy - Ringing in My Head • Highly commended: Robert Croft - Orange on red on brown • Highly commended: Rosie Shaw - Fish • Jayco Prestige Award: George Collins - Ways of the Animal • Provincial Media Award: James Ward - Abstract One of many standout works is King Kong in London by Peter Branch - a striking sculpture that reflects an incredible year-long creative journey through our Cox Road art program. At genU, we believe in creating opportunities for people to express themselves, build skills and connect with their community. artX is a powerful example of this in action. artX regional will be on display until 22 May 2026 at Rachinger Gallery, Eastern Hub Community Centre.
