The genU Outreach team recently attended the "Conversations That Matter" event hosted by the Give Where You Live Foundation, joining local businesses and community organisations for important discussions about homelessness and the challenges many people continue to face. The team heard from Nedd Brockmann, ultramarathon runner and 2024 NSW Young Australian of the Year, whose fundraising efforts have generated more than $10 million to support people experiencing homelessness through his charity partner, We Are Mobilise. His story and message left a lasting impression. Presentations from Amy Hunter from The Outpost Inc., Josephine Taylor from Meli, and lived experience advocate Jessie Moore also provided valuable insights that reflected many of the experiences our team sees and supports every day through Outreach services. We're grateful for our ongoing partnership with We Are Mobilise. Together, we've helped distribute more than $103,000 to support people experiencing homelessness, assisting individuals to access housing and build sustainable pathways forward. Partnerships like these help create meaningful change and strengthen support for people across our community.
