Older, wiser, know your rights 💜 genU recently partnered with Barwon Community Legal Service to host a special event at Barwarre Gardens Retirement Village, bringing together residents and local community members to learn more about their rights as they age. Barwon Community Legal Service representatives shared valuable information to empower attendees with the knowledge needed to feel confident and supported in making important decisions surrounding a range of topics, such as common types of elder abuse, Powers of Attorney, advance care planning, Wills and more. This Older, Wiser, Know Your Rights event was a part of our acknowledgement of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which is held on June 15 each year.
