Following the success of the first edition in Malaysia, Generali and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launch an Insurance Innovation Challenge in Thailand. In Thailand, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are contributing over 35% of the country's GDP and employing more than 70% of the workforce. Yet despite progress toward universal health coverage, many MSME workers still lack access to social security schemes and are vulnerable to financial hardship, which can lead to increased absenteeism, reduced productivity, and economic insecurity for both workers and the MSMEs that employ them. 💡 This initiative aims to identify and support inclusive, localized insurance solutions that improve the lives of MSME workers and reinforce Thailand’s broader social protection framework. 🏆 The two winning solutions will be announced in November and awarded up to US$40,000 each to pilot their ideas. This challenge is part of our ongoing global collaboration with UNDP aiming to drive inclusive insurance innovation and expand social protection for those who need it most. 🔗 Learn more about the initiative and how it supports MSMEs: http://bit.ly/4n05kRX #ProtectTheFuture #Insurance4SDGs #Generali4Sustainability #FinancialResilience
