⛵️ The sea once again brought together passion, inclusion, and the spirit of community at #Barcolana57! As presenting sponsor, we continue our commitment to promoting equal opportunities through the Generali Women in Sailing Trophy, which celebrates women’s leadership in mixed crews and aims to inspire new generations to take the helm. 🏆 This year’s trophy went to the mixed team of Marta 07, which raced with Marta Benussi as helmswoman and Giulia Ascione as skipper. Their remarkable race, finishing just behind Arca Sgr of the Fast and Furio Sailing Team, made history: it was the first time two boats from the same team secured the top two positions at Barcolana. Beyond competition, the trophy also opens the door to a Generali Academy coaching and leadership program, helping winners turn lessons from the sea into personal and professional growth. We are proud to support a project dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in sailing, inspiring young people to form new mixed teams and providing coaches with training support. The spirit of the community at Barcolana lives both on the sea and on land. At Generali’s stand in collaboration with The Human Safety Net we welcomed children and families to interactive workshops, together with the Centro per la Salute delle Bambine e dei Bambini onlus.
