Genel was pleased to recently attend the completion ceremonies of two important social investment projects in Somaliland, funded by Genel and joint venture partner CPC Corporation, Taiwan, with both projects bolstering education facilities in this region. Building on our existing relationship with Burao Academy, and working with ClearSky Power, solar power capabilities have been installed at the academy. This will provide a long-term benefit which not only addresses the school’s specific energy needs but also helps to increase the presence of this technology in the region. Additionally, Abdo Ayir is a local school in Burao which provides an invaluable service to deaf and blind children from the local community. This project provided much-needed renovation and refurbishment works at the school, and helps ensure these specialised education opportunities continue to be available within the community.
