Clinical signs of avian influenza can differ widely between poultry flocks. In some cases, sudden high mortality occurs with few clinical signs. In others, birds show respiratory, neurological or gastrointestinal symptoms. Biosecurity remains key. There are indications that virus introduction may occur via ventilation openings.
