Can we “resurrect” tired agricultural soils? That is exactly what we are testing in the field. At GC Genomics, we are validating a mineral soil restructuring product designed to recover soil functionality in woody crops. Many agricultural soils do not only need more fertilizer. They need to recover their ability to retain nutrients, stabilize them and make them available to the crop over time. In our olive field trial, the treated plot showed higher foliar nutrient levels than the control: - Nitrogen: 2.49% vs 1.99% - Calcium: 1.54% vs 1.01% - Potassium: 1.26% vs 1.18% - Magnesium: 0.135% vs 0.102% For us, this is the key message: a more functional soil can support a better nourished crop. We are now expanding trials to almond, super-high-density olive, fig, cherry, peach, flat peach and other woody crops. The product is available for shipment. Interested in testing it in your crop?
