05.04.45-12.10.25 Bob Broomhead, AKA my father, certainly left an impression on everyone he met. His successful career as a Civil Engineer took him and our family around the globe, including the likes of Iran, South Africa, Bahrain, Dubai and Oman. Growing up, what more could I want from a father than to be loved, travel the world, and be with my hero. As I became older and eventually emigrated to Australia, our relationship transitioned into mateship, and I'll now deeply miss our chats about life and family. Career-wise, he backed me all the way, giving me a headstart in life through good schooling and a tertiary education, to eventually supporting my decision to start my own business. I'll always be grateful to him for teaching me and my sister the value of hard work, resilience, giving life a red hot crack, and living for now because you never know what's around the corner. Sadly, that fateful last corner arrived for Dad over the weekend when he died peacefully at home in Portugal after a short illness. RIP Dad – you won't be forgotten.
