📌Project update: Gas to ESB Poolbeg 5 📌 Work is progressing at the Poolbeg Above Ground Installation (AGI) in Dublin Bay, where we are constructing a new natural gas connection for our customer ESB Generation & Trading who is developing an Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) at the site. This OCGT – or ‘peaker’ plant - will deliver fast energy capacity and services as the electricity grid facilitates an increasing amount of renewable power. Summary of works to date: ✅All redundant gas pipework which supplied the old ESB Thermal Plant has now been removed from site including a pressure reduction skid, buildings, water baths, pipework and cabling no longer in use ✅Older electrical equipment has been decommissioned and the new electrical installation is currently ongoing ✅Approximately 30% of contaminated legacy material has been safely removed and backfilled with new material ✅New gas skids for filtering and metering have been delivered to site The next phase of work will include pipework excavations, pipework installation and testing.        Read more about this project at: https://lnkd.in/eYvE4e48 #MovingIrelandsEnergy Fingleton White Murphy, Sean Farrell - BEng IPMA® Charlene Duffy
