Here at the Colorado Department of Transportation (#CDOT) we have an open job posting for Process Improvement and Change Management Interns-- I invite you to apply! Interns gain valuable experience in process improvement and related disciplines, while CDOT benefits from the insight, talent and enthusiasm of each and every Intern. In addition to providing meaningful, real-world work, our internship program gives people the opportunity to network with fellow interns and CDOT employees through intern program activities and events. One of the efforts that interns become involved with is the Annual CDOT Innovations Challenge. The Challenge is designed to identify and share the best #innovations from all over CDOT while also inspiring friendly competition. Innovations are crucial for improving the way we work, so we want to reward #innovators and spread their innovations across the agency for others to borrow! And, there are also lots of other opportunities for learning about CDOT and our Colorado transportation system during our internships. Some of the other photos show some of the Intern Learning Excursions, including recent opportunities to learn about the construction of the world’s largest highway wildlife overpass (just south of the Denver metro area); and, the nation’s highest Interstate system tunnel: the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel.
