Gartner Rose is thrilled to announce that our Mortdale Maintenance Centre Solar PV System Project for TfNSW Sydney Trains has been shortlisted for a Sustainability Excellence Award at the 2026 Rail Industry Awards! This ground breaking system comprised 2000 solar panels on the roof of the existing maintenance centre, generating 0.88MW of power. The power from the solar PV panel system was fed directly into the Sydney Trains power network, a first of its kind. All works were completed in a live environment, with the Maintenance Centre remaining accessible and operational, with minimal disruption to staff and visitors, during the construction works. Congratulation to our client for championing this environmental initiative, our team for working so hard on bringing it to fruition, and our subcontractors, especially Energus, for their awesome contribution as always.
