Melissa is proactive about her health — keeping up with mammograms and colonoscopies as recommended. So when her physician introduced multi-cancer early detection (MCED) with the Galleri test, Melissa and her husband Keith made it part of their annual routine. The first year, she received No Cancer Signal Detected result. The second year, she received a Cancer Signal Detected result with a predicted origin of liver and bile ducts. She felt fine and had no symptoms. Follow-up diagnostic testing confirmed stage 1a cancer. “The second time I took the Galleri test, I had a Cancer Signal Detected. I had no symptoms. I didn’t feel bad. Every single one of my blood labs came back perfect. ” — Melissa Now, Melissa is sharing her story to encourage others to think of early detection as an ongoing routine, not a one-time decision. The Galleri test is available by prescription only. Important Safety Information: https://bit.ly/41sSxPw #Galleri #EarlyCancerDetection #MCED Galleri should be used in addition to healthcare provider recommended screening tests. The Galleri test does not detect a signal for all cancers and not all cancers can be detected in the blood. False positive and false negative results do occur. Galleri is a screening test and does not diagnose cancer. Diagnostic testing is needed to confirm cancer. Based on a clinical study of people ages 50 to 79, around 1% are expected to receive a Cancer Signal Detected result. After diagnostic evaluation, around 62% of these people are expected to have a confirmed cancer diagnosis. The overall sensitivity in study participants with liver/bile duct cancer was 93.5% (100% for stage I, 70.0% stage II, 100% stage III, 100% stage IV).
