Our Gaingels 100 series spotlights LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs whose lived experiences drive the change they create in their respective industries. Today, we feature Kristin Olszewski, founder and CEO of Nomadica, a brand making exceptional and eco-conscious wine accessible to all. Kristin’s entrepreneurial path began with a deep connection to farming and community, eventually leading her to major in sustainable agriculture. This foundational knowledge carried over into the world of fine dining, where a transformative experience with wine pairings ignited her passion for the industry. Although she briefly pursued a pre-med track at Harvard due to early career insecurities, a profound encounter with a mentor who was diagnosed with ALS changed her trajectory. The realization of how short life is propelled Kristin to fully embrace her love for hospitality and commit to a full-time career in wine. In 2018, she founded Nomadica, launching the first high-end, sustainably farmed wine-in-a-can to reduce packaging carbon footprints by 60%. Driven by a deep understanding of her largely LGBTQIA+ customer base, Kristin continues to build a brand that proves authentic diversity and inclusion are essential to serving your community. #Gaingels #LGBTQIA #Inclusion #Founders #Innovation
