During my morning walk around Bandra East, I passed by a thoughtfully developed space beneath the flyover at Kherwadi Signal. At first glance, it speaks of intent — ~vibrant murals ~Structured seating ~planned open areas ~Shrubbery plants ~children’s play elements ~Even artistic installations An initiative by the local authorities that truly deserves appreciation. And yet… it feels silent. The benches remain empty. The pathways untouched. The play areas waiting. What struck me today, most were the sculptures — Two figures, resting their chin on their palms… almost as if they too are waiting. Watching. Wondering. Surrounded by dense communities of Kherwadi — many of whom may not have access to intimate pocket gardens, or open spaces — yet, this such places stands unclaimed. Why? Are we that busy? Too hurried? Too occupied with survival and routine? Or have, somewhere, forgotten how to pause and inhabit spaces meant for us? #BandraEAST #Kherwadi #Flyover #Local #People #RoutineLife #SurvivalMode
