Future Leaders x HSBC Birmingham: Day One Complete! Our work experience programme at HSBC’s UK in Birmingham is off to a strong start. Future Leaders heard from Global Category Lead Andrew Brewerton on how procurement works across a global bank, explored different roles in the function, and tackled a live-style activity on suppliers, risk and decision making. A financial literacy session with Kate Freeman broke down employment vs self‑employment and sparked ideas for business creation, before a career carousel and mentoring gave each young person space to ask questions and get tailored advice on next steps. Days like this turn a name on a building into a place our young people can picture themselves working in the future.
