For years the honest answer to "can #SAF count towards our Scope 3 target?" was "not yet." As of 11 June, that changed. The new Science Based Targets initiative Corporate Net Zero Standard recognises SAF certificates, through book and claim, as a way for companies to address business travel emissions. So we did it on our own books. Future Energy Global has addressed the lifecycle footprint of 100% of our 2025 business travel with sustainable aviation fuel, in line with that standard. One batch of fuel, refined by Montana Renewables, LLC from Minnesota feedstock, with Delta Air Lines claiming the Scope 1 reduction and FEG the Scope 3. Local fuel and a domestic supply chain, with a reduction that holds up to scrutiny. We are not telling every company to inset all its travel overnight. We are showing the route works, the same one #Microsoft took as the buyer behind the first transaction on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) CADO SAF Registry. Full story in the article. If business travel is your hardest line to cut, let's talk. #SustainableAviationFuel #Scope3 #LCAW2026 #bookandclaim
