Delivered! ✅ Europe’s first Remote Handling tool is in ITER. Fusion for Energy (F4E) is developing a fleet of advanced robotic systems for the assembly and maintenance the largest fusion device. In collaboration with Ansaldo Nucleare and ITER Organization, we completed the first tool, made for the assembly of Equatorial Port Plugs. The machine, manufactured by the SME Officine LCM, will carry 48-tonne plugs and slide them into the Vacuum Vessel with millimetric precision. The full-scale tests proved it is ready and the tool is already in its new home. Well done to all the contributors!
