The last components of MITICA have arrived! 🚚 Fusion for Energy and its supply chain delivered the last major systems for MITICA, the full-scale prototype of ITER's Neutral Beam Injector, built to unprecedented size and power. Two challenging technologies: 🔹The calorimeter: part of the beam line, designed to measure the beam and evacuate heat. Manufactured by AVS Added Value Solutions and TECNALIA Research & Innovation. 🔹The beam source: where high-energy particles are generated and accelerated. Manufactured by ALSYMEX and a chain of European suppliers. ✅ Both systems completed on-site tests, and Consorzio RFX will soon begin preparing for their installation. MITICA is helping Europe unlock strategic know-how for plasma heating technologies in #ITER and future fusion devices. Well done to our teams and partners!
