The ITER liquid nitrogen plant shows its cooling power ❄️ The European teams at the ITER cryoplant have completed the commissioning of the liquid nitrogen plant, now ready for service. Fusion for Energy, Air Liquide and ITER Organization worked together to prepare and test the cryogenic infrastructure. Compressors, tanks and cold boxes operated in unison to liquefy nitrogen and gradually bring it down to 80 K (-193 °C).
