Oceans are under growing pressure from pollution and increasing vessel traffic. Detecting that pollution quickly and reliably remains a challenge. That’s where Poseidon comes in. Fugro and EOMAP are part of the Poseidon consortium, combining optical and radar satellite data along with AI to improve the detection and characterisation of oil spills, chemicals, sewage and other marine pollution. Within the consortium, backed by EU Horizon, Fugro leads the development of the AI and Machine Learning framework behind these services, while EOMAP develops and validates the detection methods. Turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. Bringing together 10 international partners, the project is making ocean monitoring faster, more accurate and more actionable. #OceanHealth #EarthObservation #AI #HorizonEurope Protecting our oceans with the consortium partners: Maldives Space Research Organisation (MSRO), EOMAP, GHGSAT, Clean Oceans, Seoul National University, Institute for Energy Technology, Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology (KIOST), Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI)
