The idea to insert love notes into the BACI PERUGINA wrapper comes from Francesco Seneca and Giovanni Buitoni. According to the legend, Luisa Spagnoli and Giovanni Buitoni, clandestine lovers, had the habit of exchanging love messages hidden in chocolate wrappers. The first love note is written by Seneca and Buitoni: ‘Meglio un bacio oggi che una gallina domani’ (better a kiss today than a hen tomorrow). The note is signed by ‘Seneca’, which creates confusion among the consumers: they first think that the note is penned originally by Seneca, the Roman philosopher. #WeAreNestlé
