Applications are now open for the sixth edition of the Frieze x Deutsche Bank Emerging Curators Fellowship, with South London Gallery announced as the latest host institution.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Initiated in 2020, the Fellowship addresses the significant lack of diversity in UK curatorial practice – the area of arts and heritage with the lowest proportion of Black and global majority professionals. Each year, the initiative supports talented young curators with full-time, paid fellowships within leading UK arts organisations. All Fellows who have taken part in the programme have gone on to secure permanent positions within arts institutions across the country. ⁠ ⁠ The new Fellow will take up their placement at South London Gallery later this year. Applications are open now and close on 15 July. ⁠ ⁠ Our 2025–26 Fellow is currently hosted by MIMA in Middlesbrough. Previous host institutions have included The Whitworth in Manchester (2024–25), Birmingham’s Ikon Gallery (2023–24), V&A East in London (2022–23), Newcastle's the Baltic (2021) and Chisenhale Gallery (2020).⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Learn more and apply: ⁠https://lnkd.in/ekBMyEhj
