“I want to build a business that’s good for the cow, and therefore for me as an entrepreneur,” says member dairy farmer Baukje from the Netherlands. Her ambitions are clear. Together with her parents, she’s working towards a new milking parlour and taking over the farm. As a young farmer, she is focused on continuously improving and optimising the business. Baukje sees it as a major strength that the cooperative is owned by the member dairy farmers themselves. “As long as we continue, the cooperative remains strong.
