From a small doorstep trade to growing her dairy business in Nigeria. Umar Rasidat began by selling local dairy products such as cheese and Fura da Nunu (a traditional milk-based drink). Through hands-on training with our dairy development team in Nigeria, she learned improved milk hygiene practices and basic record keeping. Simple changes that made a real difference to the quality of her milk and how she managed her business. Umar also began supplying milk to the Alaga milk collection centre.   Her income increased steadily, enabling her to support her children’s education and providing them food security. And perhaps just as importantly, her progress is encouraging other women in her village to also start providing milk to the collection centre. 🥛✨ #CelebratingWomenFarmers #DairyDevelopment #Nigeria #WMD2026
