Fleet operators using already LNG as fuel are well positioned for taking the next turn – bolstering their position with clean fuels.    As of May 8, Germany has implemented new clean fuel requirements under EU’s updated renewable energy framework, with increasing targets towards 2040. Hence, low-carbon and carbon-neutral fuels turn reality.    Take-aways for fleet operators:   Today’s LNG-fueled trucks, totaling approx. 10.000 of in Europe, will be fueled by tomorrow’s eLNG, with clean-fueled operating trucks increase towards 26 000 in 2030. ◼️ No change in vehicle ◼️ No performance compromise ◼️ No stranded technology risk Modern LNG-fueled trucks already deliver immediate CO₂ reductions compared to diesel, while enabling a direct transition towards RFNBO-compliant eMethane and eLNG as production scales. FREIJA continues to develop one of Europe’s largest eMethane projects in Finland to help meet this growing demand from heavy-duty transport and shipping. At FREIJA, we increasingly see in the market, where fleet operators not only evaluate fuel costs but rather prepare for an updated regulatory and commercial environment, where verified emissions reductions turn into a full-fledged competitive advantage.
