The next chapter of our German growth story starts in Berlin. A few years ago, we made a decision that a lot of Dutch SaaS companies hesitate over: don’t treat Germany as “the Netherlands, but bigger.” Treat it as its own market, with its own buyers, its own expectations and build a native German team to win it. That decision wasn’t easy, and the road far from smooth. Scaling across the border meant unlearning a lot of what made us market leader at home. German buyers wanted depth where Dutch buyers wanted speed. The integration ecosystem looked completely different; payroll, scheduling, compliance all had their own local standards we had to earn our way into. And building trust in a new market is slow, deliberate work. There’s no shortcut around it. But we kept showing up. We hired native (extremely hard to find German talent living in NL), listened harder than we talked, and let German customers shape what we built next. Today we’re past 2000 German customers and we’re marking the moment by opening our new Berlin office. Not a satellite. A home base. We’re fully committing to it. To the team that got us here, and to every German customer who bet on us early: thank you 💙 This is just the start. We are always on the lookout for great Berlin players in Sales and Support, so if you happen to be that or know someone hit me up with a DM. We are located in Mitte with a great founding team, probably have the best coffee in Berlin, and are surrounded by some very cool SaaS companies in a lovely, mostly tech, community. Onwards. 🚀
