Fraunhofer IPMS has introduced Q-Dice, a high-performance Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) that generates certified true randomness from quantum vacuum fluctuations at data rates exceeding 4 Gbit/s. Unlike algorithm-based approaches, Q-Dice harnesses inherently unpredictable quantum effects to provide a trusted entropy source for modern cryptography and quantum-safe security. 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: 💠As a Q-Dice hardware solution (e.g. 19" rack system and other form factors) 💠As Entropy-as-a-Service (EaaS) via an online interface Designed for security-critical applications such as secure communication, data encryption, authentication, access management, and large-scale simulations, Q-Dice meets stringent security requirements and has been validated according to BSI AIS 20/31 and NIST SP 800-22 standards.
