𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼-𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗙𝗔𝗠 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗲 – 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 As of June 1, 2026, a new co-leadership team has taken over the Automation and Production Technology division at Fraunhofer IFAM in Stade, Germany: 👉 Christian Böhlmann and Dr.-Ing. Simon Kothe. They succeed Dr. Dirk Niermann, who has shaped the Fraunhofer IFAM Stade branch since 2009, building it into a globally renowned R&D hub. He will now focus on establishing the aerospace business unit at Fraunhofer IFAM in Bremen, Germany. This transition marks a strong commitment to the future: Fraunhofer IFAM in Stade will be further developed as a leading innovation center for automated, digital and AI-supported production, driving the transfer of research into industrial applications, particularly for the next generation of efficient aircraft.
