What a privilege and pleasure to celebrate Dame Carol V. Robinson's birthday with a festival of science at the Chemistry Department and Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, University of Oxford. Former group members from as far as Chile and China, and many other guests, come together to look back and explore how far native mass spectrometry has come in the last 3 decades. The event kicked off with an inspiring address by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Prof. Irene Tracey, in the gorgeous space of the Divinity School (known to Harry Potter fans as the scene of the infirmary), followed on Monday by a series of flashbacks from former group members interspersed with research talks and poster exhibitions in the Rhodes House.
