What does conservation look like on the ground? 🌳 In this video, a ranger from Guyana shares insights into their work in and around the Kanuku Mountains Protected Area. Spanning rainforest and savannah ecosystems, the area is home to species such as the Harpy Eagle and plays an important role in Guyana’s protected area network. For more than a decade, FZS has supported the Guyana Protected Areas Commission in strengthening protected area management, biodiversity monitoring, and planning for new protected areas. Together with local communities and government partners, this work contributes to the long-term conservation of Guyana’s forests and the wider Amazon region.
